It all went will apart from some issues with the TinyMCE visual editor. I read a number of articles including Troubleshooting TinyMCE in WordPress 2.7 and http://wordpress.org/support/topic/224121 with no luck. With no plugins and the default theme, i could not get my editor to run correctly. I decided to put up with it, till i had some more time to investigate.

I found that v2.7.1 has now been released, so I rushed to upgrade. I used the new options in the admin section, “Tools > Upgrade > Automatically Upgrade”. The auto upgrade went briliantly and afterwards my TinyMCE visual editor also started working! Great!

However, a new version has been released, 0.3, and I have upgraded and sorted out getting it set up. I also upgraded my WordPress install at the same time. You can see my Tag Cloud in the right hand side bar. Enjoy!

Welcome! I have had this domain for a little while now and not got around to doing much with it. I have set it up with WordPress, a great personal publishing platform. I have tried several Blog / Content Management Systems and for my personal site and blog this looks the business.

I have got a dedicated WordPress install so I can taylor it as needed, in particular I hope to add more “website” and “project” related parts in. If you fancy trying WordPress out, which I recommend you do, have a look at http://www.wordpress.com. You can sign up for a free blog and its all hosted and managed for you. I was very tempted to use the service for this site.

Anyway, that’s enough for now, I have got the site up and running and I am just working on the theme colours. Better got on with it…

Enjoy!
